X3D Plug-in for Alias' Maya Software

The Archaeology Technologies Laboratory (ATL) is participating in the development of an open-source X3D import/export plug-in for Alias' Maya 3D authoring software. The plug-in will be compatible with versions of Maya 4.0 and up.

The ATL has released a functioning prototype X3D exporter (known as RawKee) available for Maya 4.5 thru 6.0. More information concerning this exporter can be found at the following URL:
http://rawkee.sourceforge.net/

Maya-Exporter List - Mailing list concerning the development of the X3D Plug-in for Maya. To sign up for this mailing list contact Aaron Bergstrom through the ATL Contact Form.

We would like to thank Alias for providing additional licenses of Maya Unlimited for the specific purpose of developing the X3D Plug-in for Maya.
