Web-Browser Software Plug-In's
Here you will find links to plug-in's needed to view media content displayed on, or found through, the ATL web site. If you have trouble locating any plug-in's for media on this site, please send notification to the lab's manager. We will attempt to find the plug-in and add a link to its download on the ATL web site.

Real Media (a.k.a. Real Player) Plug-in

The Real Media Player is required for most of the streaming and Multi-cast video programs available through this and the Archaeology Channel web sites. When you download this plug-in, be sure to follow the "Free RealOne Player" links.

DANA Related Java Plug-in's

The Digital Archive Network for Anthropology has been developed using Sun Microsystems' Java2, and Java3D API's. To access DANA you need to have a Java2 JRE (1.3 or higher), and Java Web Start installed on your computer. To view the 3D models available through DANA, you must have the Java3D JRE installed as well. Downloads for these items are available here:

The X3D specification is the an industry standard three-dimensional (3D) file format whose development is overseen by the Web3D Consortium.
